Mörtmarkin Peruna is located at Suoth-Ostrobothnia in the village of Myrkky, which Teuvanjoki river runs through. Originally the village was called Mörtmark according to it's Swedish roots, but in the turn of 19th century, as Finnish people started to inhabit the village, it was given a Finnish name - Myrkky. Our name, Mörtmarkin Peruna, was taken to use, because it reflects the history of the village. Toiminimeksi perustettiin Mörtmarkin Peruna, jossa samalla kuvastuu kylän historia. 2004 the village of Myrkky was selected as the South-Ostrobothnian village of the year.
